Information

It is estimated that there are more than three million buildings in Italy that were built before 1945, and while they are not all part of its cultural heritage, they provide an important record, often of great historical and architectural value. The ecological transition is an uphill struggle for these buildings. They need a specially designed path, a lot of technology and customised management tools. Various experts need to contribute to better work on these buildings, including structural engineers, plant engineers, archaeologists and historians. Improving efficiency can begin with lighting systems, continue with needs-based consumption management and with the adoption of energy generation technologies not necessarily located in the building.
